We build websites using the WordPress platform and Elementor. At the end of each website project, we will give you a rundown on how your website is built so you can easily make changes and edits in the future. We only partner with a select number of clients each month to give them my full attention.

The Website Design Process

Here is a general idea of how the process will go.

Getting started

Let’s chat. Send us an order above. We will set up a quick phone call or a virtual meeting so that we can learn more about your business, your needs, and what you do.

Once we decide that we are a good fit, we will send over a contract for you to sign. A 30% deposit will be required to lock in and schedule the project.

 

Discovery & Planning

We use a “content-first” approach to your website development. This means all the content included on the website will be created, collected, and organized by you before the development phase. We use this approach because the content naturally drives the design’s direction and changes are more manageable and less costly when performed before development.

Once all the content is provided, we will go through all the information and put together a strategic initial wireframe/sitemap. We will consider your target market, competition, brand values, and so much more.

 

Design Phase

We will start with the design and development of the three most complex web pages and submit them for review. Once the initial design is approved, we will continue developing the remainder of the website pages. There will be two sets of revisions included.

 

Launch & Handoff

Once everything has been reviewed, and we get the green light, the website will go live.

Within two weeks of launch, we can set up a Virtual meeting where we will walk you through your new website and show you how to add or change the content. We want you to feel confident using your new site and managing it independently.

We typically book new website projects 1-3 months in advance. That means 3-4 sites in 6 month intervals. This gives our site developers plenty of time for focus on your site. The best time to inquire is now, that way we can discuss your needs and secure your spot in the books.

FAQs

How does the payment work?

After we chat and decide that we are a good match, you will need to pay a 30% non-refundable deposit to book your project and secure your spot. Upon project commencement, you will pay 35%, and then at the end of the project, you will need to pay the remaining 35% balance. Hourly is paid each month until the end of the project.

 

Alternative payment plans are available by request.

 

Payments can be made by e-transfer, or online with a credit card via our payment system. 

 

Do you build websites on other CMS platforms?

While we can build websites using other CMS platforms, we choose to work in WordPress, Elementor, Looka, and Wix. solely. After spending several years working within WordPress, We have become very familiar with it and know how to use it in and out allowing me to do my best work.

 

Where can I buy hosting, a domain, and SSL certificate?

There are a lot of hosting and domain options out there. We am more than happy to discuss the best option for you. We would recommend looking into GoDaddy for hosting and domain. An SSL Certificate is also essential and will make your website more secure and trustworthy. A secure website will have the lock icon to the left of the URL. To accept payments of any kind, a website must have an SSL Certificate. We would recommend buying all three from the same place to make setting up the website a breeze.

 

Can you make an e-commerce website?

Please contact us to discuss making a e-commerce website using WooCommerce. This can be done using the WordPress platform, Elementor, Looka, and Wix.

 

How does the payment work?

Of course! Once your site is completed we can schedule a video chat so we can show you how to make changes on your own. 

 

What if I need professional help with web updates in the future?

You are always welcome to reach out for additional assistance. 

 

Can you help make some updates to my existing site?

You are always welcome to reach out for additional assistance. For existing site builds by our team/s, the ongoing upkeep and changes are at the hourly cost of that site type. Sites not built by us will be matched to our site build types and be charged at that fee.

 

What is NOT included?

The Designer is not responsible for writing the content for the website, Proofreading or spell-checking content, Setting up third-party accounts (like Mailchimp), Sourcing images for the site, Managing client’s time/other service providers, Setting up newsletters/funnels/sales strategies, Website domain or email hosting purchases. The designer does not guarantee lifetime subscriptions to plug-ins used to build the website.
